The sun makes us happy
There is no coincidence that the sun makes us happy. The sunlight has many positive effects on us, our body and wellbeing. Let us explain why.
Just a few minutes exposure to the sun changes our stress system and we get more alert and vital. To sit in a deck chair and relax in the sun is always nice. We also at the same time get a lot of vitamins lazing in the sun. That’s great! We get a lot of vitamin D from the sun which also helps us to absorb Calcium which is good for our bones and skeleton.
In many northern countries we often get too little sun which also is a problem in some cultures/habits where we shelter us too much from the sun. Then we risk getting vitamin D insufficiency. D-vitamin som tillskott under vintern.
Lack of sun and light also impacts on our mood or state of mind – scientist are very agreeing on this. We more easily get depressed with too little sun and light treatment or more vitamin D can have a good effect on our mood. To sunbathe in unique privacy, high up on our balcony, in a hammock or deck chair, is very relaxing, healthy, and lovely. However too much sun or heat is not good for you so use the parasol – covering the whole balcony -
as shelter and use Sunscreen cream.
